THE BEST OVEN FRIED PICKLE CHIPS

These are Truly THE BEST Oven-Fried Pickle Chips you will find!  And they have ZERO OIL–OMG!! RIGHT!! How is this possible!?!  I had my doubts at first too, when I asked my son “what restaurant food can I re-create for you (and make healthier–but shh, don’t tell him ; ) FRIED PICKLE CHIPS was the definite answer!

So, DONE!  These are legit the BEST non-fried pickle chips ever, and we are doing the whole dish with ZERO oil–what!  You simply toss, dip and re-dip your pickles and you are ready to go.

Try these out, they take only 5 minutes of hands-on time, and the total dish is on the table before your main dish-YUMMY!  Give it a go, I’m sure you will LOVE these!

THE BEST OVEN FRIED PICKLE CHIPS

Ingredients

  • 16 oz jar dill pickle chips your favorite brand
  • 3/4 c seafood batter I used this one
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 t old bay seasoning
  • Ranch dressing optional

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 450. Place a wire rack over a baking sheet and spray well with cooking spray.

  2. Remove pickle chips from the jar and place between paper towels. Set aside for 5-10 minutes.
  3. Place seafood batter in a large zip-top bag. Place the eggs in a medium bowl. Combine the breadcrumbs with the old bay and put in a second bowl.
  4. Put the pickle chips in the bag with the seafood batter and toss to coat well.
  5. One-by-one, remove the pickles from the bag, shaking off the excess batter, and dip into the eggs. Next dip each slice into the breadcrumb mixture. Set the completed chips on the prepared pan.
  6. Cook the chips for about 20 minutes, until crisp and golden.
  7. Serve immediately with ranch dressing to dip.
